  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    Baller and krieg enough!

This thread is not going to turn into one of your petty argument/ slanging matches.

Baller while you have your own opinion on what you see as 'fit' does not mean others see it the same way. 2.5 years worth off any kind of exercise is good in my book and does not deserve to be put down.

This thread is to support, encourage and motivate other like minded people it is not to be used to keep petty arguments going or to discourage and put people down.

    That I direct at all!

Yes, I do know for a fact his advice is unhealthy and that he is not even remotely fit. There is a reason he is posting pics of his average body from an angle. Do not insult true athletes by ever comparing an internet douche to them. He's not at all cut. Seriously.

As for carbs vs. protein...Seriously, what in the hell are you talking about? Carbs are energy, not bulk. It is PROTEIN that causes bulk.

Cutting requires cardo. He has done nothing but bulk, and barely at that, which is pathetic considering his approach is all about bulking.

And when I say no cardio.. I mean no cardio. I say what I mean to say. We're not talking about a certain kind. We're talking about all cardio. He says that is a waste as well.

Go read the rest of his fitness posts and you'll see you are just way off about him.

I am the one who preaches overall fitness, NOT him. Stop making him out to be some revolutionary. He's all about traditional bullshit because it's all about making himself out to be something he's not.

And yes, Arnold is a joke. How many football players have you seen who make him look like a bitch without using steroids? Because I've seen plenty, and all he did was lift and lift and do strength training. He wasn't actually fit, just like no bodybuilder is.

I don't even remotely care about Krieg enough to address him further in this thread. Fact is, he was out of line making a thread for people's fitness about himself and his pathetic, fragile ego, and I said so.

As for Destor.. even though he's talked a whole bunch of shit like the catty douche he is, the only reason I said anything was because he's giving people advice as if he's an expert.. extremely unhealthy advice.

There's no opinion on fit. There's fit and there's not fit. He's not all that fit. If he were, his stomach would be flat and his abs would show when facing forward, among other things.

Since he wants to talk like he's an expert and give bad advice, I'm going to point out that not only does he not know shit but his body is pathetic after 2.5 years of work.

I too am critical about Destor's diet--like I mentioned before--but I respect him because he always backs up his reasoning with scientific principles.

I like you baller, but you're not doing the same in this thread. I posted evidence showing the role of glycogen in muscular development--that's why you need some carbs--you ignored it.

You blast the guy for not being fit and claim that he has a "stomach"? I'm sorry but I think that's a wild accusation. Have you questioned him about his Vo2 max? If anything is a measure of fitness its bodyfat and Vo2 max. We already know one...

I eat up to 30gs of carbs 5 days a week, and have a 36hr carb loading window once a week (on weekends) where I'll eat 300-500gs to replenish glycogen stores for the next week of lifting. That amount of carbs is working great for me right now. Chronic excess carbohydrates just lead to fat accumulation, there are no benefits to that!

I have no clue where Baller16 is getting the idea that I eat super high protein and absolutely no carbs, he is just making assumptions as he always does. I eat more fat than anything else, moderate protein, and generally low carb except in the loading phase.

No adult goes from super scrawny to having a bodybuilder caliber physique in 2.5 years though, definitely not without steroids. It takes years and years of work to build that much muscle, teenagers may be able to do it more easily when they are going through puberty but I started when I was 23 and lacked any muscle whatsoever!

I just think you need to replenish glycogen stores daily. But you do your own thing an never mind me...

Of course not. But you could be bigger than you are if you did more compound lifts.

Everything I have been doing is a compound movement, not the standard deadlifting/squat/bench press stuff which may have produced better results, but that just wasn't in the cards! I don't do any isolation stuff though, don't use any machines at all, everything I do (pull ups, dips, push ups, pistol squats, HSPUs) involves multiple joints.

My glycogen weight usually sticks around pretty well until the end of the week, I definitely don't burn through all of it in one day even with a killer workout, but that might change as more muscle is added.

    Right now it works great!

I've used a gym and weights a little bit but yeah the vast majority of my work has been equipment that you'd find in the typical warehouse. Nothing but a beam to hang from, chains, a 50lb bag of ice melt salt, a forklift to do dips on...

3 more weeks of work then I'm in school with free access to a gym for 3 years, and I'll be working my ass off for those 3 years!

Good to see this thread is still going.

I ran about 6 miles easy tonight. Last night was a 5 mile tempo run (7.20/mile). Tuesday I did 8 X 400m reps. Monday 5 easy miles.

Tomorrow I'm planning a long one. 13-15 miles.

I can't get into doing all that weight training. Each to his own, I guess. I'll never have that six-pack but I can live with that.

I think if this thread shows anythign it's that "fitness" isn;t a black and white issue.

I run. The only exercise I do outside running is a bit of core work to support my running, and some stretching.

For the way I chose to test myself I'm fit but I couldn't do the weights sessions that some on here do, I couldn't do a zumba class and I probably wouldn't be able to walk the next day if I played a 90 minute football (soccer) match.

Then again, there's a load of people who can do weights or zumba or whatever who have gained fitness that is appropriate for what they want to achieve/do. They might or might not be able to run a 10k or a Half Marathon at the pace I do, I don't know, but that's not the type of fitness they're aiming for.

Fitness is about gaining the abilities that are necessary for what you want to achieve, surely?

And fitness is a very different thing to "being healthy". It might overlap somewhat but you can't tell me that the steps necessary to be an elite sportsman in pretty much any sport are actually healthy.

If I was only aiming to get enough exercise to be healthy I wouldn't run half as much as I do, and you wouldn't do the weights that some of you do either.

Let's not get confused about what we're talking about in this thread, eh? And let's support each other rather than shoot each other down.

That's not good are you getting enough carbs and protein, especially a protein shake right after you work out? Since your body will catabolize your muscle to repair your muscles if you don't get the proper nutrients in right away.

Many people say you don't grow in the gym you grow outside of it when your resting(sleeping included) and eating properly.

You may just need a good "deep tissue massage" ;)
