It's getting longer between stories now. Maybe it's harder to come up with different ways to get people fucking. Or maybe I'm more picky. I have two that I wrote, one the natural follow-up to "Ready for More", but I'm not ready to post them yet.

I have just now posted a new story. I enjoy reading historical fiction, so I tried my hand at writing a story set in the past. Not sure if this will be readily accepted on a porn site, but at least it entertained me and presented certain challenges as a writer. So if you have a chance and want a story with your sex try "Mickey and Kat" or wait for it to appear on sexstories.com next week.

 

Hiya, I'm not sure I belong here, but I've been writing again for the first time in forever (like, in the 20+ years since I got out of school) and I'm feeling that writing lifestyle pulling at me. No one really understands it besides other writers! I don't have any sex stories now, but I like reading you guys's*, and I figured I'd come out of the woodwork.

* you guys's is a perfectly acceptable second person possessive plural in New Jersey

 

I finished polishing and editing my story. The story is longer that most others, at 22,250 words. I broke it into 4 parts and submitted each part separately but at the same time. Part 2 was rejected because of a reference to the age of a child. (See my two comments above in post #983.) The 4 parts are listed in my signature.

The story is simple and straightforward. I didn't want to make my first story more difficult that necessary. It involves consensual heterosexual sex. The plot is that a young woman agrees to accompany a couple on an over-night trip to a nearby town to attend a concert. Sex happens during the night.

Please read it, if you find it interesting enough. I would appreciate constructive comments. Thanks very much.

 

22k words is just fine in my book. Sure, I have a couple short ones, but Dakota is around 45k words, @throatHER 's What a Difference a Summer Makes is around 68k words and @BashfulScribe 's Being More Social is around 280k words.

Many of us like the longer works. Especially many of us authors on this forum. But then again I realize everyone is different.

 

I wonder how many words the Naked Day stories are.

 

Here's a weird one. Just published `Tom's Parallel World - 7'. So cut and pasted my checked, double checked and proof-read script into the editor, selected save, then view...
Finding two occasions where words had been replaced by `********'.
Up until now I assumed this was to eliminate certain swear words, but on checking my original the words were `Selection' and `Select'.
Nothing taboo about those??
So I swapped selection out and left select in....
Nope when I went to publish it had been swapped out to ****** again??
Am I missing some American Euphemism or new taboo street slang?

 

To my knowledge, there is no taboo street slang associated with those two words.

However, there is a strong reason to disallow the word 'SELECT' in texts that are saved to databases. I am slowly teaching myself computer programming. Databases are a very important part of these types of forums and of social media generally, including Facebook, Twitter, etc. I learned about the mySQL database so what I am about to say may not apply to other database platforms. 'SELECT', along with 'DELETE', 'CREATE', UPDATE' and others, is a command in the mySQL language.

Why is that relevant? There is a form of hacker attack on databases called an 'SQL Injection Attack'. (SQL stands for Standard Query Language.) SQL injection attacks can be successful when the database manager has a weakness or vulnerability that causes the database to recognize and execute commands that are outside of the normal command language protocol. When hackers find such vulnerabilities, they design text as SQL commands so that when the text is saved to the database, the commands are executed. This is how hackers can obtain database information such as customer or employee names, addresses, credit card numbers, dates of birth, identification numbers, etc. An example hack command is 'SELECT username, password FROM users". This means: go to the 'users' table and retrieve the values in the fields labeled 'username' and 'password'.

One of the ways of thwarting injection attacks is to prevent database commands from being saved to the database. If XNXX uses the mySQL database, then it must have a filter in place to remove database commands, in addition to filters for inappropriate ages of characters. Hence, the word 'SELECT' being replaced by asterisks. Double check that XNXX is in fact filtering out database commands, then find synonyms for 'select'.

The odd thing is that you were able to write the word select in your post but not in your story. Are there two different security protocols in effect? (Or am I completely wrong?)

Thanks for the information! I was wondering why words like "description" and "prescription" were masked in stories (contains word "script"). So, the above words are likely blocked, I wonder if "insert' is blocked too. That seems like a common term in adult erotic literature.

We should compile a list of words for us authors to avoid - SQL words that are definitely blocked and confirmed age related words that will flag a story.

I am getting confused about the rating that is given to stories. It seems to be the percent positive ratings out of all the ratings. So if a story received 100 ratings and 85 are positive, then the percent rating is 85%.

My confusion is that if a story has 10,000 reads and 100 ratings, what meaning does the rating have if it is based on just 1% of the reads?

 

Cant help it if 9900 people read it but didn’t rate it.

My journey here has been a interesting one. During this journey my stories went from sounding like a 3rd grader with a keyboard, to being at least legible.

I would like to possibly edit my 3rd grade material, I see it can be done. It appears it will go back into queue. How does this affect its scoring?

 

Ouch. Mickey and Kat got slammed with 7-8 negatives over night. All but one anonymous. At least I can tell from the one logged in member”s favorites that I’ll never write his style of story.

just seems odd to be cruising along nicely then all hit at once doubling the neg votes.

If it's any consolation, check this out: I just started posting stories a little more than a week ago. I checked earlier today and I had 10-25 down votes per story. Just checked again an hour ago and each story had been hit with an additional 20-80 down votes, all anonymous. Allowing anonymous ratings is just asking for trolls.

 

@throatHER, my ratings were all 90%+, chapter 3 was over 96%.
